A Note from our Managing Director
In 1988 I started a job at the age of 18 assisting a conservatory installer. I had no idea what the job entailed and relished the variety that came with it. My position soon became full time, working for a company called Purpose Made Windows in Camberley.
Following a successful eighteen month training and apprenticeship, I was invited to be a lead installer fitting for myself for the same company where I stayed for almost 5 years, before leaving to work with a national installer based in Walton-on-Thames.
During my first 6 months in my new job, I became totally disillusioned with the poor customer service and lost belief in my employer - who did not have the customers interests at heart. I realised I wanted to be part of a smaller company that delivered its promises.
I left the larger national company, to work with a small family run business called ‘The Window Factory’ in Camberley - a period which I immensely enjoyed - and where I discovered my real talent for installing conservatories.
Better than the Rest
After a very successful year managing the conservatory installations at The Window Factory I decided to become a freelance conservatory installer for three smaller companies.
I was fitting on average three conservatories a week and began to realise that most of these companies were upsetting their customers through bad organisation and lack of communication, although on the whole the product was good and we always left the job with happy customers.
This is what made me think that I could do it better, and my ideas for Hanson started to evolve.
The Company Evolves
As the company grew - fuelled by our reputation of being the best installers in the area, we moved into factory premises enabling the company to manufacturer its own roofs, and we soon started to supply many other local conservatory businesses in the area.
From here the company has grown because of the dedication of our team and the commitment and service we provide our customers. At the beginning it was my vision to be able to do the job ‘right’ and through hard work and a great team we have been able to achieve this, and will continue to do so...
The Future
The company will continue to grow and have many more happy customers, and as it continues to do so there will be fantastic opportunities for all those that want to do well.
